Many vivariums are bringing the cage change station and cage changeout materials to the racks in order to save time and labor.
Unfortunately, for older holding rooms the aisles are not wide enough to bring this equipment down.
Part of the problem is that conventional single-sided mouse vent racks are up to 26” deep.
The MACS wall-mount mouse unit is only 18” deep compared to deeper single-sided vent racks.
This opens about 8”-10” of space on each aisle making changeouts at the cage location more feasible and practical.
