Large Mouse / Hamster Suspended Shelf Rack Systems
A flexible housing system that can house mice, rats, hamsters or guinea pigs. The perforated shelf design eliminates the need for individual cage filter tops. The shelf holds down the filter paper allowing excess cage gases and moisture to escape while containing most allergens and particulates.
Standard Features Include:
- 304 stainless steel construction with 1” square tube frame for durability.
- 5” swivel casters with grease zerks. 2 casters with brakes.
- Automated Water. Choose from either Edstrom or S.E. Each has stainless steel manifold with fixed drinkers.
- Drip chain to prevent cage flooding.
- Hanging feeders.
- Stainless steel hanging card holders.
- Rack is autoclavable.
Options Include:
- 16 oz. reduced height water bottles in polysulfone
- For mice caging, choose between our Uni or Dura cage designs
- Select clear polycarbonate, amber polysulfone or low color (clear) polysulfone resins for cages

Solid Shelf Rack Systems
Use Alternative Design fixed and adjustable Solid Shelf Racks to hold your rodent static cages.

Fixed Shelf Racks
Each shelf is welded into place for strength. When used to hold rodent cages, each shelf will hold up to seven (7) standard mouse cages across or five (5) rat cages.
Most popular rack sizes are:
- 62”W x 24”D x 72”H - 157.4cm W x 61.0cm D x 182.9cm H
- 62”W x 18”D x 72”H - 157.4cm W x 45.7cm D x 182.9cm H
Material:
- Vertical uprights are made of 1” square tubing for greater strength, #304 Stainless Steel, #3 Finish, 16 Gauge.
- Shelves are made from #304 Stainless Steel, 2B Finish, #18 Gauge.
- Swivel casters are a 5” diameter by 1.25” tread Maxim wheel, expandable stem mount, with grease zerks and two with pedal wheel brakes, stainless steel hardware.
- Weight rated to hold up to 150 lbs. per shelf.
- Autoclabable

Adjustable Shelf Racks
This shelving system is adjustable to any height and locked into place with an easy access setscrew and bracket. The typical system uses five (5) shelves but more shelves may be purchased depending on your requirements. This shelving system is made of #304 Stainless Steel. The shelves are shipped unassembled with instructions, allen wrench and all parts necessary to assemble the rack.
The standard adjustable shelf rack is 72” high overall, 60” wide and 24” deep. Other sizes are available upon request.
Materials:
- Vertical uprights are made of 1” round tubing frame, #304 Stainless Steel, #3 Finish, 16 Gauge.
- Shelves are made from #304 Stainless Steel, 2B Finish, #18 Gauge.
- Swivel casters are a 5” diameter by 1.25” tread Maxim wheel, a nonautoclavable expandable stem, with grease zerks and two with pedal wheel brakes.
- Assembly adjusting bracket including a bolt plate, socket head screw and washers.
- Plastic end caps in upright.
- Allen wrenches used in assembly are provided.
